Title: Using Tumor, Lymph Node, and Peripheral Blood to Harness the Dynamic Immune Environment Triad in Patients with Breast Cancer
Abstract: The lymph nodes, peripheral blood, and the primary tumor all play distinct roles in the anti-tumor response to breast cancer. Before, during, and after treatment, immunological characteristics at each site show evidence of ongoing immune cross-talk between them. As a result, it has been discovered that immune responses to breast cancer are highly dynamic and truly systemic, integrating three different immune sites, intricate cell-migration highways, as well as the temporal dimension of disease progression and treatment. An overview of the dynamic immune environment triad of breast cancer is given in this review. Future research must focus on developing dynamic immune profiles with multiple sites that capture the systemic immune response to breast cancer and specify patient-selection criteria in order to increase patient survival rates and overall responses.
Keywords: systemic immunity; breast cancer; lymph node; triple-negative breast cancers
