Title: The Impact of E-HRM on Modernizing the Function of HRM
Abstract: Practitioners of human resource management (HRM) must fulfill a variety of roles in order to accomplish both functional and organizational goals. Electronic Human Resource Management (E-HRM) is a pervasive application of Information Technology (IT) in the current business environment, and it has gained widespread global adoption. The main goal of this study is to ascertain the impact of E- Sri Lanka’s HRM implementation on the changing HRM function. The methodology used for the study was qualitative. An analysis framework was created based on earlier research. The researcher used the study framework to analyze the data after gathering the findings. The researcher compared the theory to the results of the analysis in order to respond to the research question and achieve the research objectives. The researcher found that although HRM was using E-HR tools in their daily operations, they were not familiar with E-HRM applications. The study claims that HRM places a greater emphasis on administrative duties. The biggest advantage of adopting E-HRM practices is that they free HRM from intermediary roles, allowing them to concentrate on strategic planning in HR organizations and retraining HR practitioners from administrative paper handlers to strategic planners.
