Title: The He(1s2s2 2S) Resonance in Debye Plasmas: An Investigation

Abstract: Within the context of the stabilization method, the impact of Debye plasma on the 1s2s2 2S resonance states in the scattering of electron from helium atom has been studied. Debye-Huckel potential is a model for the interactions of charged particles in Debye plasma. The helium atom has been treated as having an electron moving around in addition to an ionic core composed of He+ in its 1s2s excited state. A model potential has then been used to simulate the interaction between the core and the electron. It has been discovered that the resonance states are significantly influenced by the background plasma environment. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study of the electron-helium system’s 1s2s2 2S resonance states that has been published in the literature.
