Description
Title: The Effects of Gender and Educational Level on the Occupational Status of International Migrants in OECD Countries
Abstract: The study aims to highlight two crucial aspects of the occupational status of immigrants from abroad in OECD nations. By concentrating on how international migrants’ educational attainment and the gender dimension affect migrants’ occupational status, the study advances existing research in this area. The study used a quantitative research approach to accomplish its goal. The significance of the relationship between educational attainment, gender differences, and occupational status was highlighted using ordinary least square regression analysis. The OECD DIOC 2015/2016 served as the source for the databases. High levels of education have been linked to representative job openings, and in OECD nations, female migrants are more likely than male migrants to hold these occupations. However, the study’s limitations included a lack of information regarding the precise occupational status of immigrants in OECD nations as well as educational attainment levels that were not clearly segmented into each level of education in the databases.
