Additionally, numerous in vitro and in vivo studies have uncovered intriguing effects on antiplasmodial, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anticancer, antidiabetic, and wound healing. It has become more and more clear that the biological effects observed are correlated with the phytochemical composition of Prosopis plants, specifically their content of C-glycosyl flavones (such as schaftoside, isoschaftoside, vicenin II, vitexin, and isovitexin).
