Title: Studying the Implementation of a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) System in Taiwanese Small Accounting Firms
Abstract: This study investigates the traits that affect accounting firms’ ability to successfully implement an RPA system. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Information System Success Model measurements are the foundation for the RPA system success factors used in this paper (ISS). In this study, a questionnaire survey method was employed, and 70 small accounting firms in Taiwan each received one of 140 questionnaires. The findings of this study demonstrated a significant positive correlation between three characteristic factors—male, higher system familiarity, and high CEO support—and the success factors of the RPA system in accounting firms. Due Small and medium-sized accounting firms have experienced a more challenging digital transformation than the Big Four due to resource limitations. It is important to focus on research on digital transformation that uses small and medium-sized businesses as samples. The research findings of this paper can serve as a guide for the accounting industry and educational institutions’ digital transformation strategies.
