Abstract: The authors of this study investigated the many aspects of the rewriting process, including those special to the writer and the circumstances in which they work. Before starting to compose the essays on a computer, I first… (the prewriting period), the 64 pupils who scored successfully highly on the print exposure assessment and the 32 pupils who scored successfully poorly on the test was given either 10 or 70 seconds to consider each of the two prompts. The students who scored poorly on the test started writing the essays after the prewriting period ended (the prewriting time). A computer that watches keystrokes can record a user’s writing and editing activities, such as pausing, revising (which may include deletions, replacements, and insertions), and prompt reviewing. These actions include pausing, revising, and prompt review. An 8-factor, the 3-point analytic grading system was utilized to determine the degree of quality. The findings revealed that the students exposed to more printed material could generate essays that were both lengthier and of a higher quality than their counterparts who had been exposed to less printed material. In addition, the short amount of time spent prewriting resulted in an average level of fury and lengthier pauses than usual when prompt rereading. When it came to how they responded by referring to the manipulation of prewriting time in terms of the overall volume of pause-related changes they made while writing, there were substantial disparities between each of the writers who had both high and low print versions exposure on the one hand and low and high print exposure on the other. The complexity of the process of revising and the necessity of comprehending the various contemporary characteristics available in the writing environment are topics discussed in depth throughout this article.
