Title: Non-Bank Financial Institutions’ Contribution to the Development of Long-Term Resources for Economic Growth in Russia
Abstract: Increased investment in the Russian economy and its growth rates are thought to be influenced by the growth of the activities of non-bank financial institutions that long-term accumulate the assets of the national savings system. In conducting the study, we compared performance indicators of non-bank financial institutions as well as general scientific methods, weighted analysis, and dynamic analysis techniques. The parameters and trends in the evolution of the socioeconomic situation in Russia, including the ineffectiveness of regulatory practices, are what predetermine problems in the operations of organizations in the non-banking sector of the Russian financial market. The growth of non-bank financial intermediaries is classified as having an unstable dynamic because it is not supported by the resolution of the structural and institutional issues facing the Russian economy. Because of this, an expansion of their role in the redistribution process is linked to both more general decisions and better regulatory and supervisory practices adopted by the Bank of Russia. The identified issues with the growth of the non-banking sector of the financial market should be addressed with a view to making it a powerful mechanism for capital formation to support economic growth.
