Title: Neutral lanthanum’s new energy levels, derived from the optogalvanic spectrum between 5610 and 6110
Abstract: A complete optogalvanic (OG) spectrum of a discharge burning in a La-Ar gas mixture, in the spectral range 5610-6110 (17,851 to 16,364 cm1), was described in a previous paper. As a result of looking for laser-induced fluorescence lines when stimulating unclassified lines from the OG spectrum, we are now able to communicate additional new energy levels. We discovered 17 new levels, and the line list has been expanded for two additional levels. We were able to categorize 132 spectral lines using these 19 levels.
