Title: Methods for determining D-dimer levels that are useful in the diagnosis of juvenile zakrzepowo-zator disease
Abstract: The end result of the stabilized fibrin degradation process is d-dimers (DD). Elevated DD levels signify simultaneous activation of both fibrinolysis and coagulation. D-dimers are crucial in the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis. Every diagnostic technique for DD detection relies on monoclonal antibodies. Latex agglutination, full blood agglutination, and immunoenzymatic methods are the three main ways to measure DD. Currently, clinical trials are being conducted on new techniques based on the in vivo detection of DD using technetium-labeled antibodies.
