Title: Hydrogen Recombination Cross-Section Lowest-Order Thermal Correction in the Presence of Blackbody Radiation
Abstract: The correction of the hydrogen atom’s recombination and ionization processes caused by the thermal interaction of two charges was taken into consideration in the current paper. A strict quantum electrodynamic (QED) strategy within the constraints of perturbation theory served as the foundation for the evaluation. A wide range of temperatures corresponding to laboratory and astrophysical conditions were examined to determine the lowest-order radiative correction to the recombination/ionization cross-section. The discovered thermal contribution was discussed for both the overall recombination and ionization coefficients as well as for particular states.
