Abstract: The realization of Vision 2030, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the sustainable development of individual nations, all depend on corporate social responsibility (CSR). However, it has become increasingly obvious in recent years that these objectives cannot be met without sustainable corporate practices. Previous studies attempting to ascertain the impact of CSR on the financial performance of various institutions have produced conflicting findings, leaving scholarly, sectoral, and geographic gaps. Since there is no clear correlation between CSR and corporate financial performance in Kenya, the goal of this study was to ascertain how CSR affected the financial performance of financial institutions in Kenya (CFP). We compared the financial performance of financial institutions in Kirinyaga County while examining the impact of moral, altruistic, and gender-inclusive CSR activities. A sample of 171 people was chosen using stratified and systematic sampling techniques from a study population of 300 employees working in the financial institutions in Kirinyaga County. Data were analyzed using SPSS software, and a causal research design was chosen. In-person questionnaire administration was used to collect primary data. According to the study, there is a strong positive correlation between CSR practices and financial institutions’ financial performance. As a result, it is advised that businesses increase their investment in moral, charitable, and gender-mainstreaming CSR initiatives because these initiatives enhance financial performance.
