Title: Calculation of Tungsten Atoms’ Electron Impact Single Ionization TDCS at 200, 500, and 1000 eV
Abstract: We present triple differential cross-sections (TDCSs) for the ionization of tungsten atoms caused by electron impact from their outer subshells, namely W(6s), W(5d), W(5p), and W. (4f). To diagnose and model the fusion plasma in magnetic devices like tokamaks, it is imperative to study electron-induced processes like ionization, excitation, and autoionization from tungsten and its charged states. To comprehend the electron spectroscopy involved in the fusion plasma, the cross-section data are crucial. In this study, we present TDCS results for the ionization of W atoms at projectile energies of 200, 500, and 1000 eV at various values of scattered electron angles. It was found that the TDCS trends for W(5d) differ significantly from the TDCS trends for W(6s), W(5p), and W. (4f). Additionally, it was noted that the TDCS for W atoms has a delicate relationship with the magnitude of momentum transfer and projectile energy.
