Title: Black feminism is acknowledged in Maya Angelou’s Selected Poems
Abstract: Generations of African Americans authors were impacted by the work of famous African American woman writer Maya Angelou in the 20th century. Her poetry has a strong and sage focus on race and gender liberation. She first felt empowered as a youngster, which persisted throughout her life. It’s also true that not many people mature into their identities as persons of colour, and women as young as Maya Angelou did. She experienced severe oppression due to both her ethnicity and gender in addition to her gender. Maya Angelou was a remarkable poet whose works have had a profound impact on readers throughout the globe and whose poetry unmistakably reflects the awareness of black feminism. The purpose of this essay is to critically evaluate a few of Maya Angelou’s poetry in the context of Black feminism.
