Abstract: Although they pose a serious threat to the health of the public as well as a number of plant and animal species, fungus diseases are widely underappreciated. In recent decades, the demand for agriculture has increased as a result of the growth in the world’s population. Antifungal medications are frequently used as an alternative to treat fungal diseases that affect various crops. Antifungal use, however, should be regulated to protect public health. Strict regulation of the use of fungicides in agriculture is necessary to guarantee the toxicological safety of foods that are sold commercially. This review talks about how antifungals are used in agriculture all over the world, how new antifungals need to be developed, and how antifungal use regulations can be improved.
