Title: A MODEL FOR THE REPOSITORY OF DYNAMIC AND HIERARCHICAL DATA IN A RELATIONAL DATABASE
Abstract: The objective of this study is to create an open schema model for a relational database housing a digital sources repository. This required us to create a few sophisticated methods. A hierarchical data structure that had been pushed into the repository was one of them. The second was to impose restrictions at any level of the hierarchy that would make it possible to enforce data consistency and integrity. The developed approach is based primarily on a JSON file as a native column type, which was intended to hold open schema documents. We present a model for any repository using hierarchical dynamic data in this paper. In order to maintain all of the model assumptions, we also include a structure for normalizing the input and description for the data. We contrasted our approach with the well-known Entity-Attribute-Value open schema model in terms of data saving and structure-related querying capabilities. The results demonstrate that by adding a few new features to our model that the previous model did not have, we were able to improve both performance and disk space usage. The digital book repository that we have presented demonstrates how the methods developed in this research can be used in any field where hierarchical dynamic data is required.
