Title: A Case Study of the Czech Republic in COVID-19 Times: Digitalization in Hospitals
Abstract: The healthcare system in COVID-19 requires more money and other resources to pay for all necessary medical supplies and services. On the other hand, we have seen pressure on hospitals and healthcare facilities’ ability to use resources effectively and efficiently. For various levels of management in hospitals, digitization is a significant information source. Our study’s primary objective is to determine the advantages of digitalizing medical equipment in hospitals in COVID-19 times, with a particular emphasis on a case study of the Czech Republic. We used a literature review, data analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis as part of our methodological approach. The case study details the adjustments to the equipment and facility usage in 2019 and 2020 at a chosen hospital in Prague, as well as the effect of COVID-19 on such resource use. The management of the healthcare sector is recommended along with management and financial issues. As a result, various forms of cost savings and process and employee optimization primarily make up economic benefits. However, it can be challenging to find every opportunity for savings, as Some of them might express themselves in non-monetary ways.
