Title:Proteasome Core Particle and Regulatory Particle Interactions are Modulated by Allostery
Abstract: In biology, allostery, or regulation at remote sites, is a crucial idea. There are various allosteric regulation patterns present in the proteasome. The interactions between the two main proteasome modules—its core particle and regulatory complexes—can be modified by this regulatory communication, which has a range of more than 100 ngstroms. The assembly of the core particle with regulatory particles can be further influenced by allostery. These proteasome modules’ known and speculative interactions are discussed in this in-depth review. Allostery may offer an explanation for how cells create and maintain a variety of proteasome assembly populations and may open up possibilities for therapeutic interventions.
