Title: An understanding of the Yeast and Human Aging’s Preserved Regulatory Mechanisms
Abstract: Cancer, diabetes, and neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases are all strongly associated with aging, which is a significant biological process that results in progressive loss. of cellular viability and operations. Astonishingly, age-related disorders share several genetic and molecular mechanisms with the normal aging process. Over the last three decades, budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae has emerged as a powerful yet simple model organism for aging research. Numerous genes affecting lifespan in higher eukaryotes have been discovered through genetic methods utilizing yeast RLS. Numerous methods to lengthen the lifespan of yeast have had a similar effect in multicellular eukaryotes like fruit flies, nematodes, rodents, and people. We gathered and examined a wide range of observations from the literature, and we present the role of yeast in the understanding of the most pertinent human aging hallmarks. Here, we summarize the current state of knowledge and the clinical applicability of the key pathways and molecular mechanisms that underlie the evolutionarily conserved aging process. The gathering of vital data on the biology of aging would open the door for later research aimed at the identification of anti-aging interventions.
