A flavonoid called oroxylin A (OA) is found in the plants Oroxylum indicum, Scutellaria baicalensis, and S. lateriflora, each of which has unique pharmacological characteristics. OA affects key signaling pathways like NF-B, MAPK, ERK1/2, Wnt/-catenin, PTEN/PI3K/Akt, and signaling molecules like TNF, TGF, MMPs, VEGF, interleukins, Bcl-2, caspases, HIF-1, EMT proteins, Nrf-2, etc. that are crucial for many biological processes. play a part in the molecular causes of chronic illnesses.
