Title: Modernization of Apoptotic Bodies’ Therapeutic Effects on Systemic Diseases
Abstract: Apoptosis is crucial for both development and homeostasis maintenance. Apoptotic bodies (ApoBDs) are specifically produced from apoptotic cells and can contain a wide range of biological molecules. These molecules play important roles in regulating phagocytes and intercellular communication. Recent research has revealed that ApoBDs are critical for preserving homeostasis, including immune control, systemic bone density, and tissue regeneration. Additionally, research on systemic illnesses such as cancer, atherosclerosis, diabetes, hepatic fibrosis, and wound healing has shown that ApoBDs have therapeutic effects that can be used to treat potential targets. This review summarizes recent findings on the production, use, and reconstruction of ApoBDs in relation to their roles in cellular regulation and systemic diseases, and it offers compelling evidence and treatment options for deeper understanding of related diseases.
