Title: Plant-Endophyte Interaction in the Management of Biotic Stress
Abstract: Plants engage in complex interactions with various microbial communities as well as with one another. Because of the close relationship that exists between microbes and their host, plants are protected from a variety of biotic and abiotic stresses. Endophytes are diverse communities of microbes that inhabit the host tissue without obviously infecting it. However, they share many of the same functional characteristics with other rhizospheric microorganisms, including nutrient acquisition, phytohormone modulation, synthesis of bioactive compounds, and antioxidant enzymes of endophytes. They are still superior to other microorganisms due to their higher colonization efficacy and stability under abiotic stress. Endophytes may play a significant role in bioprospecting, according to recent studies. The molecular nature of host-endophyte interactions is still unknown, though. We have briefly covered endophyte biology, colonization effectiveness, and endophyte diversity pattern in this study. The molecular aspect of plant-endophyte interaction in biotic stress management is also summarized.
