Description
Title: Language Production Stuttering and Stammering
Abstract: There is still no conclusive explanation for stammering in science. Numerous hypotheses and research findings link environmental variables, parental behavior, genetic illnesses, and brain abnormalities. People’s levels of stammering vary greatly, ranging from straightforward vocal alterations in childhood to intricate adult speech difficulties. It has been determined that stuttering is not a medical condition. There is no relationship between stammering and the tongue, jaw, or throat. Not all children exposed to bad parental behavior later on, acquire stammering. Hence the hypothesis that parent behavior may lead a kid to stammer also lacks specific applicability. According to research, the left hemisphere of the brain is responsible for speaking, while the right hemisphere is responsible for emotions. The right hemisphere of the brain is more active in stammerers than the left. The study had exactly the opposite outcomes for certain stammerers. Their left hemisphere displays higher activity while their right hemisphere displays less activity, indicating that verbal activities outweigh emotional activities in non-stammerers. There is no proof that a stammerer’s left hemisphere of the brain is abnormal genetically or otherwise because they exhibit fewer speaking processes. It is known that a stammerer’s brain exhibits some overactivity. It implies that stammerers have an overactive brain region that governs the movements of their jaw, tongue, and lips. Typically, those who stutter talk with excessive tongue, jaw, and lip motions.
