Title: In quantum chemistry, a PARALLEL ALGORITHM OF ICSYM FOR COMPLEXSYMMETRIC LINEAR SYSTEMS
Abstract: Large-scale complex symmetric linear systems are frequently difficult to solve computationally, especially in quantum chemistry applications. We suggest a parallel algorithm of improved conjugate gradient-type iterative regression to address this issue (ICSYM). By replacing the tridiagonalization step in the traditional CSYM with a three-term recurrence relation and the orthogonal properties of residual vectors, it is possible to reduce the number of vector updates and vector multiplications while also lowering the degree of the reduce-operator from two to one communication at each iteration. Numerous numerical examples are used to demonstrate how the proposed improved version achieves high performance in both parallel efficiency and convergent rate.
