Title: MODIFIED CHEBYSHEV POLYNOMIALS: APPLICATION TO ASYMMETRIC CRYPTOGRAPHY
Abstract: One can build an asymmetric cryptosystem that enables secure communication using Chebyshev polynomials. Such a cryptosystem is based on the fact that the composition operation causes these polynomials to form a semi-group. The two new cryptosystems presented in this article are based on modifications of Chebyshev’s polynomials. The analysis that is being given demonstrates that their security is the same as that of algorithms related to the discrete logarithms problem. The article also demonstrates strategies for calculating Chebyshev polynomials more quickly.
