Title: USE OF CFD MODELING TO EXAMINE AERODYNAMIC PARAMETERS OF SOLAR PLANE AIRFOIL
Abstract: Solar-powered aerial vehicles are a cutting-edge technology that needs a lot of funding and development. Computational fluid dynamics can be used for this. In this study, ANSYS Fluent software was used to perform the required analyses and model development. Preliminary analysis of lift, drag, and tearing off the stream was carried out using the first iteration of the AGH Solar Plane model. The flattening of upper surfaces for mounting solar panels was tested on four new geometries. Particle image velocimetry was used in the aerodynamic tunnel to validate the results. To create an aircraft that satisfies all target requirements, a number of recommendations have been made taking into account all analyses.
