Title: Angiogeneza in rheumatoid arthritis patient tumors
Abstract: The broad category of disorders known as interstitial lung diseases (ILD) is characterized by a variety of etiologies and pathogenesis. The two most significant processes in the development of ILD are pulmonary fibrosis and inflammation. Disease results in a reduction in lung gas diffusion and causes hypoxia. Chronic inflammation and hypoxia are powerful neovascularization-stimulating factors. One of the main responses of vessels to inflammation is neoangiogenesis. It is established that tumor angiogenesis plays a crucial role in the growth and metastatic spread of tumors. Neoplasma and ILD have been linked in studies. Neovascularization is crucial for wound healing because it allows cells to enter damaged structures. Recent studies have suggested that pulmonary fibrosis develops as a result of abnormal lung wound healing brought on by damage to the alveolar epithelium. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is partly caused by angiogenesis. More and more evidence points to the involvement of angiogenesis in the pathogenesis of other ILDs, including vasculitis, granulomatosis, and fibrosis. It is still unclear how angiogenesis occurs in ILD. New information about the role of neoangiogenesis in the pathogenesis of ILD created a target for new medications. Strong antiangiogenic medication thalidomide was used successfully in a few ILD cases.
