Description
Title: Quick overview of widespread Bacille Calmette-Guérin infection: a brief literature review
Abstract: Children with compromised immune systems are particularly vulnerable to disseminated Bacillus Calmette-Guérin [BCG] infection. We reviewed the research on the clinical signs and symptoms of BCGosis in kids with particular primary immunodeficiencies. Materials and techniques By searching Medline, PubMed, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar from their inception to the present, we carried out a systematic review of clinical practice articles. Results: The BCG vaccination and its impact on kids with primary immunodeficiencies were discussed in 37 articles. The study excluded articles on dissemination following intravesicular BCG. Conclusions: Since disseminated BCG vaccination may be the initial sign of a primary immunodeficiency disease, it makes sense to thoroughly search for immunological flaws in kids who experience these issues after receiving BCG vaccination.
