Title: Acute respiratory distress syndrome, protective ventilation, ventilator-induced lung injury, non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation
Abstract: In order to manage obstructive diseases in both children and adults, we presented the available data on the effectiveness and safety of inhaled short-acting b2-agonists (SABA), such as salbutamol and fenoterol. The main mechanisms of action, clinical implications, potential adverse effects, and indications for inhaled SABA are all covered in our work. We discussed the most recent guidelines for the use of SABA in treating obstructive diseases in both children and adults, with a focus on asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
