Title: Work from Home: Examining Work-Life Balance and Work Stress in Indonesia During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Abstract: The early 2020 coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak had a profound impact on every industry and organization in the world, altering how people live and work. In order to effectively respond to these shifts, many organizations have started to implement a new way of working that includes teleworking or a work from home policy. By examining several potential predictors of job satisfaction when working from home under the influence of COVID-19, such as work-life balance and work stress, this study aimed to close any gaps. A quantitative approach was used, and Smart-PLS software was used to analyze the responses from the 472 participants who were made to work from home throughout Indonesia. The study found that job satisfaction is significantly impacted both directly and indirectly by working from home, work-life balance, and work stress. For Indonesian workers, working from home as a new pace of work can maintain job satisfaction as the current working environment. Working from home can be a good thing that the company should take notice of in response to the collectivist environment.
