Title: Multi-Regional Input-Output Tables for Polish Regions’ Macroeconomic Simulations
Abstract: Multi-regional input-output tables (MRIOTs) are a useful and reliable tool for various types of simulations because they can examine linkages between structures and subnational regions within a country. This study creates MRIOTs for the Polish regions that can then be used in macroeconomic simulations, such as testing the regional economy’s resilience to external shocks or gauging internal policy impulse responses. We create three macroregions for this purpose, go over how their structural characteristics support their use in studying differences in the effects of economic policies or regional economic resilience, and then explain how we create the MRIOTs.
