Description
Title: Practices of Sustainable HRM in Corporate Reporting
Abstract: The business environment and its stakeholders have high expectations for sustainable organizational practices, including standardized and understandable sustainability reporting, as a result of the current turbulent era of macroeconomic forces, which also includes the technological challenges of Industry 4.0 and pervasive uncertainties. Organizations are becoming more responsible toward their internal stakeholders by valuing their workforce as a key asset and implementing sustainable human resource management (S-HRM) strategies to inspire it. It is in managers’ and investors’ best interests to report on these S-HRM practices and sustainability. The paper contributes to the stakeholder theory by putting a particular emphasis on the parties involved, particularly the employees. The literature review, critical interpretation of earlier S-HRM studies, comparison of GRI standards, and Lawshe’s content validity approach have all been used as the methodological framework. The authors seek to bridge the gap between purely theoretical S-HRM treaties and more practically focused studies on reporting in order to further the body of knowledge on S-HRM and its reporting. The S-HRM Practices Model, the primary objective of this study, is a result of the findings regarding the critical facets of S-HRM practices. This clear model might be used by academics and professionals alike as a standardized tool for sustainable HRM reporting analysis and auditing.
