Title: Analysis of Factors Affecting Vietnamese Informal Workers’ Access to Credit During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Abstract: Credit is regarded as a crucial tool for improving the income of unorganized labor. Their access to credit should be supported by the state in order to improve their quality of life. This study examines the variables that affected informal workers’ access to credit during the COVID-19 pandemic. This method uses two models, a binary logit model and a multinomial logit model, to analyze survey data from the 2020 VHSSL (2019–2020). (MLM). The findings showed that while age, family size, ethnicity, interest rate, and amount paid are detrimental, positive factors such as education, collateral, and debt are likely to have a positive impact on credit access. Additionally, it comes to the conclusion that credit availability, collateral, credit source, and credit debt from the observed samples have a significant impact on the quality of life of informal workers. This paper also makes some policy suggestions to improve the access to credit and standard of living for informal workers.
