Title: Moral Sensitivity as a Moderating Factor in Indonesian Village Fund Fraud Prevention
Abstract: With moral sensitivity acting as a moderating variable, this study aims to evaluate the efficiency of the internal control system, appropriate compensation, and the competence of the village apparatus regarding the prevention of village fund fraud. In order to address questions pertaining to exploratory, descriptive, explanatory, and predictive analysis, this study employs a quantitative methodology called hypothesis-inference. In this study, primary data are primarily used. A questionnaire with questions provided to respondents was used to collect data using a survey method. The village office in 16 (sixteen) districts in Sumowono, Semarang Regency, Central Java, Indonesia, served as the sample for this study, which included 289 participants. Application software called Warp-PLS 7.0 was used for data analysis. The findings demonstrated that the internal control system, appropriate compensation, and competence of the village apparatus prevented fraud involving village funds. Additionally, this study is novel in that it includes a moderating variable called moral sensitivity. This moderating variable can strengthen the link between the internal control system, appropriate compensation, and the capability of the village apparatus with regard to preventing village fund fraud.
