Description
Title: The Industrial Revolution’s Operational Efficiency and Accounting Information Systems’s Determinants Evidence from an Emerging Economy, Version 4.0
Abstract: The goal of this study is to identify the variables influencing how accounting information systems (AIS) are used in small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in Vietnam. We put forth a research model to look into the causes and effects of AIS usage in Vietnamese SMEs, drawing on the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) theoretical framework, the Diffusion of Innovations theory (DOI), and Resource-based theory (RBV). Data for this study were gathered through an online survey of people who work for Vietnamese SMEs. The PLS-SEM model was used to test the proposed hypotheses using 132 valid responses, and the results were put together as a result. First, the relative advantage, owner/manager commitment, and impact of COVID-19 are the factors that have a significant influence on the use of AIS. The study’s findings also support the notion that AIS effectiveness and usage are positively correlated, with AIS performance having a favorable effect on business performance. The research’s implications will aid company owners and executives in making decisions about whether to implement AIS to improve the company’s position and ease the workload on various departments, particularly the accounting department.
