Description
Title: A Structural Equation Modeling Analysis of the Key Factors Affecting the Adoption of Artificial Intelligence Applications in Vietnam
Abstract: Artificial intelligence (AI) is the idea of turning inanimate objects into intelligent beings with human-like reasoning abilities. Many aspects of human intelligence, including learning, reasoning, problem-solving, speech recognition, and planning, can be replicated by computer systems. Applications for artificial intelligence have been created to help businesses and entrepreneurs make business decisions in this regard. The study’s goal is to ascertain how AI applications are being adopted at the organizational level in Vietnam. The theoretical model was developed based on how technical and environmental factors affect businesses’ decisions to adopt technological innovations, using the fundamental structures of the technology-organization-environment (TOE). There are ten important factors that influence the adoption of AI. Data were collected from 193 senior managers in Vietnam’s private and public companies who are directly responsible for information systems in order to test the model. The data was then examined using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The results show that the adoption of AI applications is significantly influenced by technical compatibility, relative advantage, technical complexity, technical capability, managerial capability, organizational readiness, government involvement, market uncertainty, and vendor partnership. Interestingly, the study’s findings showed that there was no statistically significant correlation between organization size and AI adoption. As a result, the proposed adoption of the AI application may add to the body of knowledge on the TOE’s adoption of AI. Finally, the significant implications for government law are discussed, along with potential future research directions.
