Description

Title: A model explaining the relocation of Japanese multinational corporations and the electric value chains of ASEAN economies is being developed using the concepts of fragmented flying geese (FFG) and intra-regional agglomeration.

Abstract: In this article, we examine corporate behavior and create a model for trends and elements in Japanese Multinational Corporations (MNCs) in the electrical and electronic sector, which have contributed significantly to East and Southeast Asia’s economic development. We look at the model’s practical applicability in Thailand, where Japanese MNCs are still expanding. The model will essentially be built on top of the flying geese model already in existence and regional agglomeration, but it will also be developed to explain new events like advancements in the division of labor through fragmentation and intra-regional agglomeration in East and Southeast Asia. As a variation on the third type of flying geese model, Japanese MNCs in the electrical and electronic sector have moved their production bases one after another to developing nations. With the growth of fragmentation, the network of the global division of labor is developing, but the area The network of Japanese companies is becoming more and more important around the eastern seaboard from Bangkok. In that regard, this study adds a modified flying goose model that incorporates the dynamic and organized characteristics of the ASEAN integrated economies to the body of literature on flying goose models.
