Title: Probiotics and Immunity Training
Abstract: In-depth studies of innate immunity have recently been published in a number of academic journals, and initial findings suggest that innate immunity may also possess a memory function that has been dubbed “trained immunity.” This idea has completely changed how we understand the innate immune response. Therefore, it is worthwhile to investigate the therapeutic possibility of stimulating trained immunity. In this context, probiotics—live microorganisms that, when given to the host in sufficient quantities, confer health benefits—represent appealing candidates for the stimulation of trained immunity. Despite the fact that numerous studies have shown these microorganisms’ health benefits, their exact mechanisms of action are still not fully understood. We plan to investigate the alleged link between probiotics and the stimulation of trained immunity in this review.
